Charles Leem left Redding California in the spring of 1898 and went by train to Portland then by 'Steamer Oregon' March 6, 1898 to Dyea then to Dawson City. Gus and Ernest Lemm left Redding California in the spring of 1903 to join Charles. They went Seattle to Skagway by Inside Passage on 'Steamship Seattle.'
