An interior photo of a room of men at a set table. Frederick Coate Wade came to the Yukon in 1897 as a barrister. He was the Crown Prosecutor, Clerk of the Court, Dominion Lands General Registrar and as a member of the British Consul took part in the 1903 Alaska Boundary Tribunal. He owned wholly or in part, mining claims, a restaurant, a saloon and a number of residential properties. There is evidence that he was in Dawson at least until 1911. He was also Agent General for British Columbia. He died in November of 1924 in Edmonton.
