Inscription verso: In the spring of '98, gold-seekers who had crossed the Chilkoot and White Passes pitched their tents along the shores of Lake Bennett and Lake Lindemann and whipsawed green lumber to built boats. They still had 550 miles to travel on inland waterways to Dawson City. (Public Archives of Canada Photo).
