Photograph of the Yukon Field Force out in yard at Fort Herchmer in Dawson City. There are 35 men in drill uniforms with rifles standing in formation in the yard. The Yukon Field Force was drawn from Canada's permanent militia, and sent by the Canadian government to assist the North West Mounted Police in guarding prisoners, banks and gold shipments between 1898 and 1900.
