Photograph of the Susie docked at Dawson with many men on board. The Susie(named for Mrs. Susie Nussbaum) was 1,130 tons and was built at Unalaska in 1898. It first arrived in Dawson August 9, 1898 with 400 tons of freight. The Susie had two sister ships, the Sarah and the Hannah. Of Mississippi River packet type, these had special deluxe Texas staterooms, known as the "blue room."
