Photograph of the hull of the Iowa up on blocks. Note the rounded bow. The Iowa was built at Lake Bennett by Town Alaska Mining Company. It was launched at Caribou Crossing June 9, 1898. The Iowa arrived in Dawson through Whitehorse Rapids in June of 1898 with Captain Abbott.
