View of two men sitting on rocky bank watching scow come through the Whitehorse Rapids. The Yukon River rushes through the sheer basalt cliffs of Miles Canyon, then the river widens and becomes more shallow at the Whitehorse Rapids. The wave crests created by the turbulence here is supposed to have lead to the naming of White Horse, given the resemblance of the white water to the mane of a white horse.
