Photograph of dredge.

The machine, first started up in May 1906, was initially steam-powered with a side discharge but was later modified to electrically-operated with a conventional tailings stacker. The Bonanza Basin Gold Dredging Co. owned this dredge from 1906-09.

Inscription verso: This is the dredge which Bert is assistant manager of - It is dredging for gold in the famous Klondyke river - To the right of print you see the cottage where we are camping for the summer - I am at the pump at backdoor. In front are two drills used for prospecting.
