Interior view of Upper Bonanza Dam. Trestle is visible on the left. This trestle came out halfway across the dam and was used to operate gate controls. When full the dam would hold over three and one-half million gallons of water and up to 2,000 miner's inches (about 3,000 cubic feet per minute) could be delivered to the White Channel Gravels above Grand Forks by flume and ditchline built on the hillside above the creek. See 1984.234.187, view from outside the dam.
