Black and white photograph of Lillian Alling when she arrived in Dawson City, 1928. Her face is not visible, profile and wearing a large hat. The donor photographed her just after she docked her boat by the ferry landing. Miss Alling, a Russian immigrant, travelled from New York City to Vancouver, then to Whitehorse, by foot. She arrived in Dawson in the fall of 1928, worked on Archie Fournier's dairy ranch for the winter, leaving for Nome, Alaska in June, 1929.
