Black and white photograph of Lillian Alling as she walks down a road. Only her back is visible. The donor photographed her just after she docked her boat by the ferry landing. Miss Alling, a Russian immigrant, travelled from New York City to Vancouver, then to Whitehorse, by foot. She arrived in Dawson in the fall of 1928, worked on Archie Fourneir's dairy ranch for the winter, leaving for Nome, Alaska in June, 1929.
