The Queen of the Yukon was the first plane owned by the Yukon Airways and Exploration Company based in Whitehorse, started by Andrew Cruikshank. Also featured are Clyde Wann - Vice President of the Yukon Airways and Exploration Company, Bill Munday - Assistand Pilot, and E. Smith - Mechanic. The Queen of the Yukon is the sister ship to the Spirit of St. Louis which made the first Trans-Atlantic flight with Charles Lindbergh. The Queen of the Yukon was made by the Ryan Aircraft Co. in San Diego in 1927 for Andrew Cruikshank. The Queen was demolished in a crash on May 5th, 1928 in Whitehorse.
