Six men in uniforms and one in a fur anorak from the Yukon Field Force pose for a Christmas photo in front of a large two story log building, two cannons and a team of five dogs. The men are standing on a vehicle of some type with a Christmas banner "A Merry Xmas and Happy New Year". The Yukon Field Force was drawn from Canada's permanent militia and sent by the federal government to assist the NWMP to guard prisoners, banks and gold shipments between 1898 to 1900.
