Black and white view of Stanford University.
Caption: I worked for Yukon Gold Company up to the end of August, 1923 and then left Dawson to enter Stanford University. On arrival in San Francisco, I stayed for a few days with my Aunt Pauline Elhing, before moving to Stanford. I had qualified for entrance there by reason of being "matriculated" by University of Toronto, who credentials were accepted by Stanford.
These are views of Stanford at it was in 1923. Total enrollment then was 3,500 - women were limited to 500. Because I was a late entrant, I was housed on the fifth floor of Encina Hall (view not shown), normally restricted to upper classmen. In my sophomore year and for the remining years during regular quarters, I lived in Sequoia Hall.
