The Yukon Rose pushing a barge loaded with supplies, most likely ore, on the Stewart River near Mayo. The Yukon Rose was built in 1929 in Vancouver for Taylor and Drury. It was eventually sold to the British Yukon Navigation Company, and then on to a man named Rudy Burian who lived on Stewart Island. (it's entire ownership history includes Taylor and Drury, BYN, Ray Chaykowski, on to Charlie Kenneth Garvice from Carmacks and on to Rudy and Yvonne Burian who sold it to Greg Caple (guide and outfitter in Dawson at the time), he attempted to rebuild it and failed and sold it to Kevin Hewar, Ron McCready and Murray Matchett who sold it to Mark Johnston in 2001.) In the mid 1980's a group of people in Dawson City purchased the Rose and it currently (2002) sits on a lot in Dawson City.
