Colour view of the plaque for Madame Tremblay's Store which may have been placed there prior to the restoration of the building by Parks Canada (as the plaque bears no federal logos).

The plaque reads:

Madame Tremblay's Store

Madame Tremblay operated this store for several years after her husband's rich placer claims on Eldorado Creek were worked out in 1914. She walked the Chilkoot Trail twice, in 1894 as a young bride heading to her husband's claims in the Sixty-Mile area, and again in 1898 to the claims on Eldorado. The Tremblay's were a respected couple who helped pioneer the development of the Klondike.
